An introduction to computer networking: principles of layered protocol design, Internet architecture (IP, TCP, DNS, HTTP), routing algorithms, congestion control, and an introduction to network security. Students build and analyze networked systems.

Systems II: Operating Systems
Core systems course covering operating system design and implementation: processes, threads, scheduling, memory management, file systems, and I/O. Emphasis on systems programming in C and the interface between hardware and software.
